Oliver's 5 yrs. A montage (or a very long journey in photo & video).

5 years ago, in a land far, far away (called England) Oliver Patrick Hughes was born. Sorry for the gratuitous genital shots. I obviously wasn't filming.

In his first year of life Oliver saw & taught his parents many things.
He taught his daddy how to not change a diaper.

He started traveling young w a trip to London at 8 wks.

He saw an all inclusive resort in Mauritius where, among other things, he went deep sea fishing & blended w the locals.

He enjoyed his life in Cambridge, England.

He got to visit other different countries such as:
Budapest, Hungary

Ireland

Prague, Czech Republic

He got to ride on the tanker w daddy to visit where our new home would be in Wichita, KS.

Then it was back to London one last time bf we said goodbye to England!

We visited family in Illinois where he celebrated his first St Patrick's Day in the Quad Cities Parade.

Then...
in another land far, far away (called Rockford, IL) we celebrated Oliver's first bday with about 50 of his closest Hughes relatives.

He got his first haircut!

Then we were off to make our new life in KS. Life was a little more quiet here, but like always, we tried to blend in w the locals.

The next thing we knew, Oliver was turning 2!

We welcomed a new member to the family.

We potty trained!

We said bye to daddy a lot that year.

We blinked & another year went by & then in another far, far away land, called Alabama we celebrated Oliver's 3rd bday w Ryan at SOS!

We hopped into spring.

Vacationed in Colorado.

We had fun in the sun.

We moved to Spokane, WA for 6 months w daddy while he completed WIC.
We frequented Green Bluff picking raspberries, lavender & apples.

We spent hours at Riverfront Park, playing in the water & riding bikes.

We visited Idaho & went camping!

Then, back to Derby KS we celebrated Oliver's 4th bday!

He cheered mom thru 3 half marathons!

We visited friends in Lincoln, NE.

We went to STL to see our new cousin, Miles.

The next thing we knew, we were living 'on a tropical island...

eating sushi all the time!''

And then in yet another far, far away land, called Okinawa, Oliver turned 5!
Happy Birthday Oliver!
